SSD vs HDD: When to Upgrade Your Storage

An SSD can cut boot and application times from minutes to seconds, dramatically improving perceived performance on machines that feel slow. For any business device that's used daily, an SSD is the single best upgrade.

Hard drives remain relevant for high-capacity, low-cost bulk storage — large archive data, video, and backups — where access speed matters less than capacity per rupee.

Our rule of thumb: NVMe SSD for every laptop and desktop (256 GB is the minimum for business), and HDDs or NAS only for bulk file storage and backups. It's one of the least expensive ways to extend the life of your fleet.
